Our documentary starts telling a little about African history and its importance. Throughout the documentary we will show some photos taken at Sao Paulo downtown, explaining why those monuments are there, how important they are, and what the city residents know about them. Along with the photos we will put some songs related to the subject. We will compare the Brazilian poverty with the African one, and also show the differences and equalities in the food and tribes. It will be a debate involving people in the group and some elementary school children (Ensino Fundamental 2). In this debate we will ask some questions which are related to the games in Africa, the prejudices that African people suffer. We will show fun songs, tell some stories that we learnt as we passed the Museum of Africa in Ibirapuera either, and finally, show what these children think about African culture: if it does or doesn’t interfere in our own culture. There will be another debate with teachers and parents with the intention of knowing what is their point of view. At the end of the documentary a review will be made including all the discussed matters in the documentary, trying to make the viewer realize the importance of African culture and how it surrounds us without notice. Por Natália.
